Explore Abstract Drawing & Painting For those familiar with the basics of both drawing and painting. Explore concepts using different approaches and styles of abstraction as personal expression. 3 hrs instruction

Drawing & Painting Study line, shape, volume, texture, perspective, light, shadow, proportion, and compositional space while experimenting with layering and blending while working with pencil, charcoal, pen and ink. Develop skills in various mediums by painting from still life, natural forms, interiors, the human figure, and abstract exploration. Learn painting techniques of blending, textural under painting, glazing and transparency while working with watercolor, acrylic, and oil. 3 hrs instruction

Figure Drawing Fundamentals Using a combination of photographs and models, learn to draw the figure in its surroundings. Focus on rendering the figure realistically using line and tonal drawing methods. Media to be used: pencil, charcoal and paint.(digital tools welcome such as ipad, laptop w/ tablet. Beginning Photoshop for Artists An Introduction to the rudimentary tools and functions of Adobe Photoshop. Learn to optimize photos for use on your blog or website, perform basic color correction on images, add text and use various font effects, work with multiple layers, create and use clipping masks, add special effects like outlines and drop shadows, and more. 2 hrs instruction
